UPADESA RATNAVALI

Upadesa Ratnavali, is a collection of 108 concise sutras compiled by Sadhu Natanananda, a devoted disciple of Bhagavan Sri Ramana Maharshi. Sri Natanananda meticulously recorded and organized Bhagavan’s teachings, capturing the essence of “Ramana Siddhanta” with a clear, methodical approach while Sri Muruganar also simultaneously wrote verses which later came to be called Guru Vachaka Kovai.

Inspired by Saiva Siddhanta, Natanananda’s style is distinct from Muruganar’s poetic flair. Using restrained, precise language, Natanananda guides the mind directly to Self-realization. Each sutra invites contemplative exploration, making this text accessible to all sincere seekers of truth. May this work illuminate the path of Self-inquiry, leading to the peace of the Self.
